30 Aviation Highlights FRA: Air India One 777, Kuwait C-17 & more

Dear friends,

during the last weeks and months, some rare guests came to Frankfurt.

KUWAIT AIR FORCE
On June 30th the Kuwait Air Force C-17 (KAF343), picked up two Kuwait Air Force Apache AH-64 from Frankfurt. It arrived from Athens, while the Apaches arrived from Illesheim Army Airfield in Bavaria, Germany. Normally the Kuwait Air Force picks up their Apaches from Nuremberg Airport but this time the airport had to space for such an enormous aircraft, so the Kuwait Air Force decided to fly via Frankfurt Airport. The Apaches were brought to Kuwait for maintenance.

QUATAR AMIRI FLIGHT 747-8 BBJ
Also one of the rarest guests this year was the Qatar Amiri Flight 747-8 BBJ A7-HBJ. This aircraft carried a delgation from Qatar that visited the UK and Germany. Also the delegation attented the Munich Security Conference in Munich, that is an important meeting for security policy.

GERMAN AIR FORCE A310
Also one of this year's visitors was the German Air Force A310-304MRTT. The aircraft arrived from RZE and had wounded Ukrainian soldiers onboard. After arriving, the soldiers were flown to hospitals around Frankfurt and Darmstadt. This was the last ever mission for 10+25. Two days after the mission the aircraft was retired. The aircraft was flown out to Canada to be a spare part aircraft for the Royal Canadian Air Force CC-150 Polaris MRTT, a modified version of the A310 for the Armed Forces of Canada.

"AIR INDIA ONE"
Another highlight was the "Air India One" the Boeing 777-300ER of PM Modi, which arrived at Frankfurt Airport as INDIA1. Narenda Modi visited the Consulte general of India in Frankfurt. The aircraft was delivered to the Indian Government in 2018 and in one of two aircrafts (K7066 and K7067), that are used to transport the president of India.
