Aleksandar Mitrović (Serbian Cyrillic: Aleksandar Mitrović, pronounced [aleksaːndar mitroʋitɕ][note 2] (listen); born 16 September 1994) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Fulham and the Serbian national team.

A youth product of Partizan, he became a professional after a loan at Teleoptik and was a regular, as they won the Serbian Superliga in the first season.

At the age of 18, Mitrović was chosen among the 10 best under-19 talents in Europe, as chosen by UEFA reporters.

He then joined Anderlecht for a record €5 million and scored 44 goals in 90 games in all competitions over two seasons.

He won the Belgian Pro League in his first campaign at the club and was the league's top scorer in his second.

In 2015, he moved to Newcastle United for £13 million.

In 2018, he was loaned to Fulham and joined them permanently after helping them to promotion to the Premier League.

Mitrović helped Serbia win the European Under-19 Championship in 2013, being declared the best player of the tournament.

In the same year, he played his first game for the senior national team and has since earned over 70 caps, representing Serbia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

He is the best scorer in Serbia.
