It's been almost a month since I've uploaded a video. It's that time of year where everyone just gets crazy busy with life in general. So I hadn't really had time to sit down and edit this footage from early October unless I wanted to over-work myself haha.

Brent came home from work near his birthday and announced to me that he'd managed to get some time off and he wanted to go somewhere... fast forward less than an hour and he'd decided on Lake Monduran and we were off to grab the camper and tinny from his Mum's place.

His Mum and Dad used to fish Lake Monduran quite often. His father had become a bit of a barra enthusiast in the past and his mother had kept all the gear. So he decided to try his hand at what his father had enjoyed so much before he passed.

As amateurs ourselves, it took some time for us to figure out what we were doing. We'd managed to bump into a boat of mad keen barra fishermen and they clued us up on the tips and tricks... and even helped load the tinny back up onto the camper at the end of the trip.

It's definitely a sport that takes a lot of patience and some skill and knowledge of the area. So Brent is keen to head back again someday to hone in on his skills.
