MY FIRST CAPSULE WARDROBE 10x10 CHALLENGE | vlogging my first capsule wardrobe experience 👗

Hello everyone! I told you I'd try my hand at vlogging my first #wintercapsulewardrobe 10x10 experience, and this is what we came up with.

DISCLAIMER: I did miss a couple of days in the vlog, but I did end up filming most of the days in real time. In the spirit of real life, I missed some days.

I loved this experience, but it was actually slightly more turbulent than I thought it would be. Despite this, I'm glad I did it and will definitely do it again. I think where I went wrong and got more frustrated with myself was that I tried to choose almost ALL pieces that I rarely wore or wanted to get an ideal number of wears out of, as opposed to choosing only a couple of those pieces and incorporating them into a well-rounded capsule of pieces I know I wear all the time. I usually am an all or none person, and you can see how that attitude can become a challenge. Where I went right was that when I finally did wear the pieces I was semi-"resistant" to, I LOVED them and got that feeling of why I decided to buy the item in the first place.

Either way, a 10x10 is for sure a great way to get wear out of the pieces you want to try to fall back in love with, but I think I will change my approach and thought process next time I build another 10x10. I just wanted to share that this experience was eye-opening, but not all warm, sunshiney feelings all the time like I expected. I think I'm finally gearing up with the tools to finally get myself into a 30-40 piece capsule wardrobe for this winter and to start wearing the clothes in my own closet instead of coveting new pieces all the time.
