Drunk Deputy Got Arrested | Trying to Use Her Authority to Dodge DUI

On May 17, 2022, Pinellas County Deputy Sheriff Shelby Alyse Coniglio was caught driving under the influence after speeding through a highway at 56 mph in a 40 mph zone. When stopped by Officer Kristin Higgins, Coniglio claimed she was a deputy but showed no identification. Despite appearing intoxicated, with slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and a strong smell of alcohol, Coniglio tried to use her position to avoid consequences. She continued to manipulate the officers, even attempting to influence Higgins’ male partner. However, the officers remained professional, and Coniglio failed sobriety tests. Her blood alcohol content was later revealed to be 0.206%, over two and a half times the legal limit. The next day, she was fired from her position as a deputy sheriff.
