Chestnut Varieties! - Selecting Chestnut Varieties to Grow

Grow your OWN chestnuts! In the 2nd part of this video series, John highlights various Chestnut Varieties. He discusses things to consider when selecting varieties to grow. These include: Flavor, Blight Resistance, Phytophthera Root Rot resistances, peelability of nuts, etc.

CORRECTIONS:
1. "QING" variety is pronounced "Ching"
2. "GILLET" is pronounced "Gi-Lay"
3. "Szego" is pronounced "Zay-go"
4. Clarification: The Shing Tree was never globally thought to be a seedling of Kintzel - only the tree in my orchard was originally labeled mistakenly as Kintzel. That was not clear in the video.
