Executing #Shell Commands in #Python

The `os` module in the Python programming language specifically focuses on interacting with the host operating system software on a given system, with commands often analogous to the system shell commands such as `cd`, `ls`, `mv`, `rm`, and `cp`, just to name a few. The `os.system` function and command expands on the aforementioned features and functionality of the `os` module by providing access to the larger system shells in question, usually referring to the #UNIX shells for UNIX-like operating systems or #CMD for Microsoft Windows.
