Can I Freshen That Up for you, Hon? Shirley Jackson & A.A. Fair: RGBIB 230

We inaugurate an exciting new theme show at the bathtub in which we "freshen up" the "previously served" cups of literature that may have grown cold on your doorstep. This week, we catch up with our All-Bathtub Hall of Famer, Shirley Jackson, and with the great A. A. Fair–the pseudonym of the nearly-as-great Erle Stanley Gardner.

The books we discuss:

THE LETTERS OF SHIRLEY JACKSON (Ed. by Laurence Jackson Hyman) Random House.

SOME SLIPS DON'T SHOW, by A.A. Fair

Here are links to my recent and not-so-recent pieces on Jackson and A A Fair:

P.S. I apologize from the depths of my heart for that terrible audio sound-effect to introduce the theme show.
