NINE STAGE MODEL OF CONFLICT ESCALATION
The nine-stage model of conflict escalation is presented in Friedrich Glasl‘s book „Konfliktmanagement“ in 1997 published in German. An English edition is available in „Confronting Conflict“ published in 1999.
Friedrich Glasl is an Austrian conflict researcher. Experts worldwide uses his nine-stage model of conflicht escalation to determine the stage of conflict. Glasl lives in Salzburg and works for Trigon Development Consulting, which he co-founded.
