Manchester students tear down 'prison-like' metal fencing erected by University
The University of Manchester has come under fire from students at its Fallowfield Campus after erecting metal fencing.
Fences popped up around halls of residences on Thursday as a 'security measure' to prevent household mixing.
In protest, students gathered and tore down the fencing which they described as 'prison-like'.
The University has said the fencing was not intended to cause distress.
