Nodle IoT Tutorials: How to Setup and Use an Ultrasonic Welder

- **Setup**

- Increase hieght of the welder. eyeball center, tighten up.
- install horn, make sure it has a plastic spacer
- tighten with horn wrench (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN)
- Place leveling fixture onto base,
- Make sure the aluminum insert is not in place
- Loosely Tighten two base bolts so the base can be moved
- Loosten 4 bolts on the machine booster stack,
- Ensure horn and part is in right orientation
- Pre - alignemnt
- Place alignement tool in nest
- loosen two handles so welder can be rotated, tap to move.
- Make pressure 0 so you push horn down manually
- align to the base
- With horn pressed down tighten screws for base
- Tighten 4 horn screws (Do not over-tighten)
- turn on welder, put pressure to 60,
- pressureize by pressing buttons
- Leveling
- Loosten 3 bolts on top plate. dont remove
- spin leveling screw counterclocwise, so it wiggles
- enable HORN DOWN BUTTON ensure light is on, bring down horn.
- With horn down under 60 PSI adjust the leveling screws with very light snug.
- Brig horn up, wiggle
- Make sure horn down light is on again. Make sure nothing is binding. If it binds start over
- Repeat the process until the leveling screws are snug
- before horn comes back up, tighten screws evenly one by one, slowy tightening as you go around. Get snug and do an 1/8th turn to make snug.
- Make pressure 0, brign down the horn and make and make sure the tool does not bind
- If it bings, loosten the base, and retighten the base
- Add the weld insert (nest)
- Check settings, place plastic on the and ready to weld
