F1 MANAGER 2023: Ferrari - Round 5 Miami

In typical Ferrari style, I totally messed up qualifying for this race. Leclerc missed out on Q3 because he was sat in the pits while everybody put in their laps in the dry, then it rained and he did his lap in the wet. Then messed up Q3 for Sainz by doing exactly the same thing again.

Starting the race P11 and P10, went with a two stop strategy for both cars. Started taking places steadily up to the first pit-stop, then steadily climbed up through to P3 and P4. For some reason the pit-crew forgot we were out there and never called us in for our second stop, but by the time the mediums were done it was very close to the end of the race (haven't had a single safety car all season). Worked in our favour in the end as we had fresh softs for the last few laps and light cars. Leclerc managed to get P2 and fastest lap in the closing stages and Sainz almost got into P3, but just as he was about to overtake Perez the race was stopped with 3 laps to go! Still no idea what happened at the end since the game doesn't tell you why any session has been red flagged. None of the cars was classified as DNF.

Not a bad result considering our starting position, and that gives me a lot of confidence for the later part of the season when we'll be getting grid penalties for buying in new engines and gearboxes.
