Extracting and processing 140 gallons of honey.

www.studiobeeproductions.com
I think that there are very few bee keepers out there who do not wonder how much honey they are going to get from their bees. I know for me, as soon as I see the first blooms of spring appear, I'm thinking, I sure hope our weather is good because I want to get a some honey this year. Well, mother nature cooperated very well with the bees this spring and gave us just enough water and sun to have a really good nectar flow.

For 4 days, my good friend Chef Randy and I, gathered honey supers from all our out yards and brought them back to the honey hut at the abbey. Then, on Saturday morning, Wreck it Ralph, along with Chef Randy and myself, proceeded to process 350 frames of honey. It was a full day of sticky honey, and lots of laughs, and at the end of it, 140 gallons of the liquid gold were stored in drums and buckets.

So, get ready to watch the entire process of extracting honey from comb to drum, and a few laughs for good measure. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed
