This video reviews how one primes and installs the Berkey PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Filters into their Berkey water filter system.

It's important to understand that the PF-2 fluoride and arsenic filters have a pellet dust that must be washed away. Priming the filters from both sides for approximately 2 minutes each helps to wash away this dust.

However, even after priming the Berkey fluoride filters, the dust will still undergo a washing away from the filter for the first 8-10 system flushes. This will leave an oily residue on the top of the filtered water and maybe even an bitter taste. This is normal and will dissipate with each filter run.

Please keep running system flushes through the berkey PF-2 fluoride and arsenic filters until this dust completely washes away.
