MP Archchuna allegedly involved in armed confrontation over land dispute

Controversial Jaffna District Member of Parliament, Ramanathan Archchuna, was allegedly involved in a heated confrontation on Saturday (April 25), during which he was seen brandishing a firearm while arguing with a woman over a disputed plot of land in the Periyavilan area.

​The incident reportedly occurred while the Member of Parliament was engaged in clearing the land in question. It was reported that two women arrived at the location, asserting that a portion of the property belonged to them. This led to a verbal altercation between the MP and the women.
