MAROON DAM | Late Winter Grind.

It's late winter, windy and really cold and I am in anticipation for the changing of the seasons. As spring arrives and the water temps will begin to rise and the freshwater crayfish will ramp up activity and the jig bite will be in full effect. It's the these warm days and calm conditions when pitching jigs becomes my favourite technique to target giant bass in Maroon dam. Unfortunately we're not quite there yet and as much as I wanted this transition to already be taking place it's not and we're left to run through the motions of trying to figure out what these stubborn bass want to eat this day.
