Ram Pump Storage Tank Fill Bottom vs Top

It is possible to fill water storage tanks from the bottom but is it worth it? I have 150 gallons on the top of my hill that I fill from the bottom. In this test I time how long it takes to fill from the bottom and then how long it takes to fill from the top.

The pro of filliling from the bottom is saves time.
The pro of filling from the top is no non-return valve is needed.
