Who Should Lead Your HR and Payroll RFP?

Deciding which department leads an RFP depends on the primary goals of the project and who is responsible for the final outcome. You should look back to the initial reason for the RFP to determine if the goal is to improve specific payroll functions or build a broader HR solution.

If the focus is on fixing payroll delivery or service, the payroll team should take the lead on the process. However, if the project is centered on an end-to-end HR solution, the HR team should be accountable for leading the vendor selection and implementation.
