The Importance of Animation Cel Collecting - Sonic, Mario, SpongeBob & More!

In the past, I’ve covered several types of collectibles. Figures, plushes, pretty general stuff. But there’s a lot more to collecting than just toys, and today I’ll be taking a look at one of the most niche but important collecting hobbies, animation cels!

In today's heart-pounding video, I go over everything you need to know about collecting animation cels, and cel animation in general. We're talking SpongeBob, Sonic The Hedgehog, Mario, Family Guy, Sailor Moon, and more. There's clearly a lot to animation cels, and I go over all of it in this video. Basically, animation cels are the drawings of each frame of animation from hand-animated productions. Once computer animation became the norm, this method was phased out, but the cels and sketches from this era have become a huge collecting scene.
