Hayao Miyazaki- 2020 Concept Art Awards Lifetime Achievement Recipient

With international acclaim as a masterful storyteller and regarded as one of the most accomplished filmmakers in the history of animation, we honor Hayao Miyazaki.

Miyazaki, co-founded Studio Ghibli in 1985. His film, Spirited Away became the highest-grossing film in Japanese history, winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Miyazaki is an inspiration to all, contributing to the cultural being of film.

Presenting Miyazaki with his lifetime achievement award and accepting on his behalf is Dice Tsutsumi.

The Concept Art Association's 2020 Concept Art Awards ceremony, Presented by LightBox Expo - hosted this year by Max Greenfield (New Girl) and Carla Renata (Superstore). The event is the first of its kind to recognize and bring increased awareness of the role of concept artists throughout the world of movies, television, video games, VR and more. The annual Concept Art Awards Show showcases and recognizes these behind-the-scenes individuals working in entertainment concept art.
