KIDS IN PRISON - Hell In A Cell & An Update on Zach 13 Years Later

When our crew met Zach, he was well known inside Pendleton Juvenile Prison. Zach had a penchant for destruction, tearing apart his cell by ripping concrete out of the walls and pulling his metal desk out of the wall. After spending time in the Segregation unit and staff trying to figure out what might help calm him down, the prison superintendent finally decided to let Zach use his energy to help the maintenance crew around the prison. That simple act alone changed Zach's behavior in prison. In this interview with Zach inside his cell unit, he talked to us about what landed him in prison in the first place, how he got his GED behind bars, and what he was trying to do to turn his life around. The video also includes a correctional officer giving a tour of Zach's destroyed cell and discussing what it was like supervising Zach while he was in the Segregation unit.
