SCALLOPED CABBAGE

Good Morning! It’s been a marathon of cooking videos the last couple of days! Here is one of my favorites ...SCALLOPED CABBAGE!

SCALLOPED CABBAGE

1 small to medium head or cabbage, rough chopped
1 sleeve of Saltine Crackers, crushed (40)
12-14 slices American Cheese
Salt and pepper
Milk

LETS MAKE IT-

Preheat oven to 350.

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the chopped cabbage and cook till just tender, about 5 minutes. Drain.

Using a 9x9 baking dish, add a thin layer of crushed crackers...about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Add a layer of cabbage, season with salt and pepper. Add half of the cheese slices. Repeat and save a few crackers for the top. Start pouring milk around the edge of the dish till it’s 1 inch from the top. Bake for 40-50 minutes. The best bake is when the cheese on top is dark brown!

Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
