My last day as a beef farmer. Vlog 214

Today is the day Ellie and two of my other Herefords housed at Jamie's go the the sale barn. Always a hard day, especially when you've been with them since birth.

The beef part of the business was always just a little side effect of growing hay. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, hay yields have been less, and the sheep flock has grown, making it so we had to buy hay for the cows. Which was not the point of owning them.

I've loved having them here, to watch them everyday outside... but they just don't get my full attention with the sheep taking so much of my time.
The barn won't go to waste, we are even thinking of making some small changes and housing the rams over there.
