The US economy rises in 'single biggest surge in American economic history'

Sky News host Paul Murray says GDP figures from the end of last week reveal the American economy is roaring back as it rises in the single biggest surge in American history.

Mr Murray said the economy was going from deficit back to zero, “but it is roaring back”.

“The single biggest surge in American economic history has happened, even as the second wave was starting to take hold.”

President Donald Trump said, “our economy is starting to grow at the fastest rate ever recorded, that was the 33.1 per cent the fake news doesn’t want to talk about.”

“In the past five months, we’ve crated a record 11.4 million jobs,” the president said.
