Making Captain America's Shield from the MCU | Krrish Kreationz

In this video I will be making Captain America's Shield ( Life size ) from the Marvel Cinematic Universe using materials that you can easily lay your hands on.

This paper model is designed by ScannerJOE ( http://scannerjoe,deviantart.com ). The 1:1 versions are big paper crafts, you should cut the margins using the line guides in the corners, then join them to complete the pattern. There are 2 versions of this paper craft : with texture and without texture. You can choose whichever you like.
The software that I use for opening,editing and printing the templates is Pepkura Designer 4.

Materials Used

1. A4 Paper
2. Thin Cardboard Sheet
3. Scissors
4. Cutting Knife
5. Cutting Mat
6. Acrylic Paints ( Red, Blue, Black, Silver )
7. Pearl Metallic Silver Paint
8. Brushes

Instructions

Making the Shield :-
1. Print out the templates onto papers ( I used A4 paper ).
2. Cut the templates using cutting knife / scissors.
3. Paste the cut out templates onto a thin cardboard sheet.
4. Skore along the dotted lines of the templates using an old worn out pen.
5. Cut out the templates from the cardboard and fold them along the dotted lines.
6. Paste the pieces together accordingly.
7. After making the shield, paint it.

Painting the Shield :-
( Note : If you use the templates with texture then there's no need to do the painting part )
1. Apply a black base coat to the areas of the shield that are silver in colour.
2. Paint the blue and red parts of the shield accordingly.
3. Apply a coat of pearl metallic silver on the black painted parts.
4. After that dries, apply a final coat of silver acrylic paint on the same parts.
