Learn the 6 main daily time periods in Mandarin Chinese. This lesson will teach you how to say the time periods in Chinese such as early morning, before noon, after noon, evening, etc.

The daily time periods are important for expressing the time of day. In English we use am and pm to say whether a given time is during the day or at night. In Chinese these six time periods are used instead.

This lesson expands on our prevous lesson, Lesson 10, which covers how to tell time in Chinese. It will also teach you different greetings you can use depending on what time of day it is as well as how to say good night.
