Dying baby monitor diagnosing
Okay, so the baby monitor would seem to lose power, after a couple minutes, and die. I replaced a 470uf capacitor near the power jack (with the only one I had on hand, a 1000uf one). Now something on the board is getting really hot. Here's a video where I used a thermal camera to examine what exactly's hot (although with the amount of time it took to take the pics, and the severity of the heat, I probably could have just touched it to find where the heat was). I expected the heat to be more localized, but I guess copper traces can spread heat very quickly.
