This week we took the Minelab Vanquish 340 out with the Nokta Makro Simplex and put them up against each other, They both did really well but i think i prefered the Vanquish, maybe because the tones are very much like that of the Minelab Equinox 800 which is my normal metal detector that i use and maybe ive just not had enough time to get used to the Simplex.

overall if you are a beginner and looking for a simple turn on and go detector then i would recommend the Vanquish, The Simplex is a great machine but not as simple as the vanquish to use.
