Russian cosmonauts Alexander Misurkin and Anton Shkaplerov battled it out for the 1st space badminton trophy at the International Space Station (ISS) in the end of January.

US astronauts Joseph Aqaba and Mark Vande Hai as well as Japanese astronaut Norishige Kanai were also in the running.
