Why Start Raising Chickens?

Since she wasn’t able to have goats or horses on her property, current flock owner Marsha first turned to raising chickens for help fertilizing her garden.

Just by nature of roaming through the grass and plants, chickens can be useful when it comes to keeping your backyard garden fertilized. They’re small, funny birds that are easy to make a part of your home, and they help create just a little less work for you.

If you’re not allowed to raise large farm animals on your property, or you don’t have the room for them, consider chickens as an alternative.
