Willie Jones performed live in his home town, Shreveport Louisiana, at the Municipal Auditorium.Here, he sings "YOUR MAN" with his father, Michael. This was an event to celebrate the re-opening of the auditorium after a six-million dollar renovation. The Municipal was the home of The Louisiana Hayride where performers such as Elvis and Hank Williams got their starts in the 1950s. Tonight's event also included Cole Vosbury and Dez Duron. Both Dez and Cole call Shreveport home. Look for videos of them from this event on this channel too. The father of Kenny Wayne Shepherd acted as MC, (he is the guy with the tambourine in this video) and other acts with connections to the original Louisiana Hayride performed tonight. Maggie Warwick ( Red Cowboy hat in this video and RIP 3/29/19) is one of the folks responsible for the renovation of this auditorium. She saved it just as it had been slated to be torn down. She was a performer on the original Hayride, and now owns the Hayride name.
