SpaceX Launches 29 Starlink Satellites in Falcon 9’s 161st Flight of the Year

SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket on December 11, sending 29 Starlink satellites (Group 6-90) into low Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Liftoff occurred at 5:01 p.m. EST, with the satellites reaching orbit about 8.5 minutes later and scheduled for deployment roughly one hour into the mission.
The first-stage booster B1083 completed its 16th flight, landing safely on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions” in the Atlantic Ocean.

This mission marked SpaceX’s 161st Falcon 9 launch of the year, its 606th mission overall, and the 300th orbital launch attempt worldwide in 2025.
The Starlink constellation now exceeds 10,000 satellites, expanding global broadband coverage, including remote internet access, airline Wi-Fi, and direct-to-cell connectivity.
