Michael Morpurgo Theatre Opening

Hertford Regional College hosted a grand theatre reopening at their Broxbourne Campus, where guests welcomed renowned Author Michael Morpurgo himself for the official countdown and unveiling of the theatre sign and sculpture.
Introduced by Principal Andy Forbes, the War Horse writer praised Foundation Degree learners Jack Baughan, Clarke Meades and Giuseppina Scibetta for designing the theatre sign and bird in flight sculpture.
After the initial unveiling, Michael Morpurgo and guests at the event were treated to show stopping performances by music and performing arts students, including a range of acting scenes, music and dance productions.
Michael then welcomed questions from the audience where he shared his background and writing journey and gave valuable advice to aspiring writers and students.
