Oz: Latest Christmas Day forecast + peek at NYE weather

High pressure is expanding in the south but that means a colder, showery and windier change coming in to the south-east corner around Christmas Day.

Many of the main centres don't look too bad, but Melbourne and Hobart may be the coldest/coolest. Much of Tasmania looks caught up in a windier south-west flow around then.

In the tropics we're seeing much more life as far as daily downpours and thunderstorms are concerned, with larger parts of Queensland also seeing more thunderstorms.

We break down the weather this week, then also take a quick (not locked in) view of how New Year's Eve is shaping up.
