The Korean government unveiled plans for a hydrogen economy and announced the arrival of the era of hydrogen economy. In the roadmap, the government said it would develop world-class hydrogen cars and hydrogen fuel cells. And it will make a lot of efforts to become a country that leads the hydrogen economy. Hydrogen-powered taxi was deployed as a pilot project for the vitalization of the hydrogen economy. It is expected to accelerate the transformation of public transportation into an eco-friendly system. Every part of the car is composed of buttons, so start of an engine and gear shift for parking can be done with buttons. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles can be charged faster than the existing electric vehicles. Hydrogen used for the hydrogen economy is produced with a hydrogen extractor. The hydrogen production facilities that use LNG used to rely on overseas equipment. However, the facilities have been localized for the first time in the domestic market and it has seized a lot of attention. In comparison to the overseas extraction facilities, economical product which is more than 20% cheaper is expected to be produced. We look into the hydrogen economy, which has been in the spotlight as an emerging renewable energy source that can realize the diversification of energy based on the eco-friendly characteristics.

최근 화석연료인 석유 에너지가 고갈되며 미래 에너지원으로 떠오르고 있는 수소! 발전이나 냉난방, 제조업까지 무궁무진한 활용성을 보여주는 수소의 잠재력에 모든 국가들은 다가올 수소경제를 기대하고 있는 가운데, 우리나라에서도 수소경제 활성화 로드맵을 발표하며 수소경제를 선언했다. 수소자동차와 수소연료전지를 세계 최초 수준으로 개발하고 수소경제 선도국가로 도약하기 다양한 노력을 하고 있다. 발표된 수소경제 활성화 로드맵의 일환으로 수소택시가 시범 운행되며 대중교통의 친환경 전환이 가속화 될 것으로 기대되고 있다. 기존 차량과 다르게 차를 작동하는 모든 부분이 버튼으로 구성이 되어있어 시동은 물론, 주차를 위한 기어 변속까지 버튼을 활용한다. 또한 수소 자동차는 기존 전기차의 충전시간에 비해 빠르게 충전이 가능한 것도 특징이다. 이와 같은 수소경제에 발맞춰 수소가 만들어지는 수소추출기의 국산화도 성공했다. 기존에는 해외에 의존했었던 LNG 수소추출 설비를 국내 최초로 국산화에 성공하여 큰 주목을 받고 있는 것이다. 해외 추출기를 사용했던 것에 비해 가격적인 측면에서 최소 20%이상 저렴한 제품이 완성될 것으로 기대되고 있다는데, 에너지 다각화와 친환경이라는 특성을 무기로 하여 미래 신재생 에너지원으로 각광받고 있는 한국의 수소경제를 만나본다.
