Caught in a storm - two days solo winter bushcraft, camping in the snow, wilderness cooking.
The winter began in Russia, and the first snow started unexpectedly. I went to the wood for two days, and was lucky to capture the beginning of the winter. First day the weather was stormy, with strong wind and incessant snowfall. I made a camp with my tarp shelter. It was hard to make a fire, because the wood was totally wet. I cooked a perfect medium rare stake on fire. I also brewed some special type of Syberian tea, a very healthy mix of barries and tea, with lemon and honey. It helped me not to get cold. In the second half of the day the wind and snowfall increased. The second day was calm, the storm ended at night. A lot of snow covered all the trees and grass. I changed the location of my camp, moving deeper in the forest. I made a special type of bonfire, called "the well", with dry oak logs. It helped me to stay warm and I cooked some delicious eggs with Sosiges. I brewed a coffee on bonfire, and smoked my pipe, enjoying my outdoors adventure in first snowy day of Russian winter.
