Third iteration of the tensile testing machine
I have received all the necessary parts to assemble the frame for the micro tensile tester. It was not easy to find twin lead screw and worm gear sets in the right size and at a reasonable price point.
After fixing the gears and the motor, this machine will be only able to "tear apart" the specimens without any load and displacement feedback. The load measurement will be the next step, then comes the displacement. I will probably develop my own extensometer.
I used a YI4K camera to record the footage.
