Door Lock🔒??
How do games know whether a door should open or stay locked?
Today I added a locked door system to my game Kidnapper Escape. I created an inventory system for storing collected keys, a key pickup system, and doors that check for specific key IDs before opening.
I also used Quaternion Slerp to make door rotations feel smoother and more natural.
Now players can't just walk anywhere—they'll need to explore, find keys, and unlock new areas.
