When I first listened to this song, I was probably 8 or 9 years old. Even though I didn't understand the lyrics, the melody struck me somehow... I could feel the desperation, the sadness, the lost love in the melody. And I understood the feeling not matter my age. It always made want to cry. It was just so beautiful.

Years later I decided to study this song and then I found out the story behind it. The story about Caruso and his true love, and how when he had finally found the love of his life, he was dying...

Such a sad story but amazing song.

I'm training my voice to recover it, but this song was always a challenge to me. And I didn't want this year to finish without singing it.

It was a super hard but I did my best. I put heart and soul on it and my best to depict the lyrics in the best Italian I could speak.
