Each year on January 15, when ship traffic stops, crews at the Soo Locks in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan get busy with a long list of lock maintenance projects. Chief Park Ranger Michelle Briggs provides a look at what U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' workers do in brutal winter conditions to keep the locks in peak operating condition.
