Why Dominion Failed: A Retrospective on the Retired League of Legends Game Mode

This retrospective is on the retired League of Legends game mode, Dominion. Released in 2011 as an alternative to Summoner's Rift, Dominion offered fast paced action and a new spin to the MOBA genre. Unfortunately, the player base numbers only declined from its released and forced Riot Games to retire the game mode and it's map, the Crystal Scar. This video will analyze why Dominion retired, as well as seek the lessons Riot took from Dominion and applied to Teamfight Tactics. We also shed a light on the community members that considered Dominion their home.
