We had such a great time filming at Five Oaks Lodge for Jason and Olivia’s wedding in Tulsa. I just love it when a couple really sees the value in video, and gives us creative freedoms to really go for it. Olivia was the sweetest human ever when she was working with us, completely trusting us. She and Jason’s day was absolutely perfect, and we are so thankful we were there to capture it.

Before each wedding, I ask the couple to ‘tell us your story.’ Olivia did such a good job, I wanted to share it below..
“Jason and I met the first week of college in the fall of 2017 when he sat in an empty seat next to me at Convocation (similar to chapel) as I sat alone waiting for my friend. We introduced ourselves to each other and struck up a conversation. We discovered we lived on the same floor of the dorm and were in the same major. From there on, we became close both as friends and study partners.

Although Jason and I developed mutual feelings for each other early on, I was still heavily grieving the unexpected death of my older brother two months prior, so my heart felt less guarded and more vulnerable during that time. Thus, I chose to focus on friendships while getting through the first difficult holidays without my brother. In his goodness, Jason patiently waited and pursued me through that hard first year, becoming my biggest support away from home. Getting to know each other as friends first set a solid foundation for our relationship that began in April of 2018 leading into our sophomore year.

Since then, we have been walking alongside each other and helping one another navigate the pre-med track. Our relationship has only gotten stronger and stronger since freshman year. This past October of 2020, Jason organized a surprise proposal on the beach in Virginia Beach with both families and friends present. Throughout our senior year, we have been planning our wedding while also figuring out our next step after college. We are so excited to both be attending Oklahoma State College of Osteopathic Medicine this Fall on our road to become physicians. Our love for God and each other as well as our passion for medicine has spurred us to take this next step to spend forever together in marriage.”
