Andrew Neil: BBC licence fee 'not fit for purpose' | SpectatorTV

Andrew Neil speaks to Kate Andrews about the launch of GB News and the state of British broadcasting today.

He says that while 'British broadcast news is among the best in the world', 'things need to change.'

The GB News chair and presenter said: 'I don't think we can remain on top of our game without reforms, financing structures coming in and changing'.

Andrew added: 'The BBC's biggest mistake would be to think that you should try and hold onto the licence fee as is. There will have to be changes.'
