Save these 4 lower body exercises that build SERIOUS size!!!
If your legs aren’t growing, it’s probably because you’re doing a bunch of exercises with no real intent. You don’t need a bunch. You need 4 you actually push hard on.
Here’s what I’d run if size is the goal:
1. Bulgarian split squats
Best single movement for quad and glute growth. You can’t cheat them.
Run 3-4 sets of 15-20 atleast per leg. Slow on the way down. Drive through the front heel.
2. Romanian deadlifts (RDLs)
The king of hamstring growth! Most people skip these or do them wrong. Hinge at the hips. Push your butt back. FEEL though the stretch in your hamstrings — that’s where the growth happens.
Run 3-4 sets of atleast 12-15. Light enough to feel it. Heavy enough to challenge it.
3. Hack squat or leg press
Pure quad builder!!!! You can push real weight without your lower back limiting you. That’s how you load the legs with volume they can actually recover from.
Run 3-4 sets of 15-20. Full range. Slow eccentric. Don’t lock out at the top — keep the tension on the muscle!!!
4. Walking lunges
The finisher! Hits everything one more time when your legs are already cooked. Brutal 😂but that’s where the growth is at.
Run 3 sets of 20-25 steps per leg. Hold dumbbells. Step long. Drive through the heel.
Done right, that’s more growth than most people get from a 10-exercise leg day.
Stop collecting exercises. Start mastering a few!!
