CATFISH NOODLING! Hannah Catches her Biggest Blue Cat EVER at 61 Pounds!!

Hey y’all!

We decided to take a trip with our good friend Jap from Mississippi (the catfish wasn’t caught in Mississippi and I won’t share the location or the lake it was caught!) to a lake where he’s fished for years. This is the first trip he took this year, and he’s been grabbing huge catfish for 50 years! So he knew there would be huge blue cats in the hole! It was 54 degrees when we got there Saturday, so we decided to test out our new wetsuits! They helped so much!

Jumped in the water, Colt looked for boxes while I BARELY squeezed into my wetsuit, and he felt a fish in the hole as soon as I got it on! So I jumped in and this big mama ROCKED MY WORLD. I’ve never in my life been bitten so hard by a fish. She bit, shook like a bulldog, and whirled like an alligator! It took me a few times before I could get a good hold on her, and then she spun when I was bringer her up and I couldn’t get my arm between its gill and gill plate (so that it doesn’t hurt them at all!) so I wrapped my legs around her and Colt grabbed us both thinking I was going to let her get away. I get a better grip and she tossed me around in the water like a rag doll!

She ended up weighing 61lbs! My biggest ever blue and my second biggest fish ever!

Was a great day of breaking my PB Blue Cat!
