Survivors face Christchurch gunman at day one sentencing

The sentencing of the man who attacked two mosques in Christchurch began on Monday. Brenton Tarrant has pleaded guilty to 51 charges of murder, 40 charges of attempted murder, and one charge of engaging in a terrorist act.
Further details have emerged about the extensive planning the terrorist conducted before the attacks, and what he planned to do if he wasn't stopped.
Emotional victim impact statements were read out by victims, detailing the devastating impacts the attacks had on them and their community.
