Local Civil Rights Leader Endorses James McLynas for Sheriff

Anyone who knows this man, knows his struggle, knows his decades long fight for justice for the Pinellas Black community will know how extraordinary and rare it is for him to endorse ANYONE for Sheriff, much less a White candidate for Sheriff. In 1966 Chairman Omali Yeshitella pulled down the racist mural hanging on the wall at the St. Pete city hall and spent years in prison for doing so. He has tirelessly fought racial injustice for the 45 years since that time. He takes this bold step of endorsing James McLynas for Sheriff because he knows that with McLynas for Sheriff ALL people in Pinellas will be treated with respect, dignity and fairness. With McLynas as Sheriff of Pinellas County, we can have equality in justice and peace.
