DIY Hollywood-Style Vanity: Mini Tour & What I Used to Build it

******READ ME*******

*Correction: the MDF I used for the front is 1/4" thick, NOT 1/2", I have no idea why I kept saying it in the video, sorry! :(

Hey guys! :)
I've been working on my DIY hollywood-style vanity for about a month and I finally got around to making a video of the final result! Everything used was bought from either lowes or ikea. If anything, the hardest part was just making the measurements! Anyway I hope you enjoy my little tour of it and description as to what I used to make it. Feel free to ask me any questions you have about its construction, or anything about it in general!

*Correction: the $270 total was after taxes and accounts for the basics of making this unit. The $270 accounts for the shelf, legs, mirror, bulbs, MDF, drawer handles, paint, bath bar lights, all dimmer parts, cord, and wrapping paper, but excludes the small tabletop mirror, book box, stool, fabric, and anything that is an "accessory". I had all the nails/glue/silicone as well as saws/drills I needed at home already so I didn't account for those. Keep in mind the total price is in Canadian dollars and may vary depending on ikea and lowes locations (plus in Canada it's 13% tax, boooo).

ITEMS USED:

+Ekby Gruvan shelf (ikea) -large size (You can even use the Vika Gruvan tabletop if this shelf is too small for your needs, it's literally a table-sized version of the shelf!)
+Kolja mirror 24"x 24" (ikea)
+Lalle table legs (ikea)
+Portfolio bath bar lights & lamp cord (lowes)
+matte black paint, quart size (lowes)
+dimmer switch, cover, and device box (lowes)
+Sylvania 3pack globe bulbs 25W (5 packs -lowes)
+drawer handles (lowes)
+MDF sheets: 1/4" (4' x 4') and 5/8" (2' x 4') thickness (lowes)
+wrapping paper (walmart)

***Special thanks to my dad for teaching me about basic electrical work, little tips and tricks for perfect construction, and being my supervisor :) as well as mstapioca and Vanity Girl for inspiring me!***

*note: if you plan on using any ikea table legs with the shelf, USE SHORTER SCREWS. If you use the ones that come with the legs, they'll go right through the shelf :(

I was in no way paid to do this video or build this vanity. Everything was bought with my own money and I am getting no compensation for this
