Arthur Got Banned For This... ; This is my reaction and commentary to the recent news of an Arthur episode getting banned in Alabama because of Mr. Ratburn's gay marriage in the episode. After ‘Arthur’ featured Mr. Ratburn marrying a man, there has been a lot of controversy for Alabama banning the episode. The season 22 premiere of Arthur, entitled 'Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone,' has caused a sensation. The episode ends with a revelation: that grade-school teacher Mr. Ratburn is gay. Series creator Marc Brown said he wanted to tell “an honest story for children and families.”
