Albanese government’s energy plan ‘not going to happen’: Sussan Ley
Deputy Opposition leader Sussan Ley says the Albanese government’s energy plan is “not going to happen”.
The shadow cabinet met Tuesday night to discuss their nuclear policy, which does not include expanded climate and emissions targets.
“Overwhelmingly, we have to solve this energy trainwreck that is the federal government’s policy right now,” Ms Ley told Sky News Australia.
“If 90 per cent of our baseload power – we can’t do without it – is leaving the system in the next decade, what is it going to be replaced with?
“The government says its renewables only.
“We can see that that’s actually not going to happen.”
